Working as a temp

‘Temping’ is a form of employment where you’re assigned to work at one of our clients’ sites for a short period of time. But our client isn’t your ‘employer’, they’re the ‘hirer’ because they hire you in short-term, for example for a day or a week.

Temping works well for a lot of people who are only looking for short-term employment. What’s more, it’s great if you want to try your hand at a variety of jobs or get some work experience under your belt.

Temping with Manpower

So, who’s my ‘employer’ when I temp? Manpower is. But although we employ you, you work at and for our client. And we’ve got a huge network of clients who all need an extra set of hands on a regular basis. You temp at companies to boost staffing levels during peak periods and holidays, to replace staff off sick or to fill a position for which our clients haven’t yet found a permanent employee.

So, who knows? Before you know it, you could be helping out at a CEVA warehousing facility or flexing your muscles as a baggage handler at Schiphol all summer long!
